KNYVETT CASE
RE-TRIAL AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Associativa Wellington, Last Night. The re-trial of ex-Captain Knyvett for insubordination will take place in Wellington on May 9. The following court has been set up to hear the ease:—President, Colonel E. S. Heard, Director of Military Training and Operations; members, Lieut.-Col. J. T. Burnett Stuart, D.5.0., Capt. Hamilton, Grenadier Guards (late A.D.C. to the Governor), Major D. R. Mcnzics (late Wellington Garrison Artillery), Capt. A. F. Roberts (B. Battery Field Artillery, Dunedin).
CHANGE OF VENUE DESIRED.
Auckland, Last Night,
Captain Knyvett has sent a letter to the Defence Department, objecting to the re-trial of his case taking place to Wellington, on the grounds that all his witnesses are in Auckland, and that he is unable to properly conduct his defence unless the Court is held in Auckland.
