QUARANTINED PASSENGERS. By Telegraph;— Press Association. Sydney, April 28. Owing to hotels refusing accommodation to some of the Mooltan's passengers they are remaining in quarantine. PENSIONS FOR THE BLIND. Melbourne, April 28. Pending legislation blind persons will be pensioned as invalids. A COLD SNAP. Sydney, April 28. There has been a cold snap with a temperature of 40.9 degrees. There have been only three colder Aprils recorded. ROBBERY UNDER ARMS. Brisbane, April 28. Priee and Coates have been sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment for robbery under arms. A FATAL ASSAULT. Brisbane, April 28. During a quarrel a laborer threw carbolic acjd over his' mate, who was so burned that he died from tho results. MOUNT LYELL RETURNS. Melbourne, April 28. The Mount Lyell returns for the four weeks ended April 19, show that there were treated 26,193 tons of ore, which produced 703 tons blister copper, containing 095 tons of copper, 41,896 ounces of silver, and 753 ounces of gold.
