DRAUGHTS

AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The draughts tournament was continued to-day, when F. Hilliker gained the right to meet Penman bv defeating Brodie in the final of the losers' class. When Hilliker and Brodie resumed play to-day the match stood one game to Hilliker and one drawn. The third game was a very stubborn one. Hilliker seemed to have the worst of position in an "end game," but he worked a pretty coup on Brodie, and won both the game and the match. The contest between Penman and Hilliker commenced to-night. Two games were played, and after a stubborn contest both were drawn. The match will be continued to-morrow afternoon.
