BISHOP-ELECT OF AUCKLAND
THE CONSECRATION CEREMONY TO-DAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, La.st Night. The Ven. Archdeacon Owen Thomas Lloyd Crossley, M.A., Bishop-elect of Auckland, accompanied by Mrs, Crossley, arrived from Sydney last evening by the steamer Maheno, and were received by the Bishop's Commissary (Ven. Archdeacon Calder), Canon Mac Murray, Hon. E. Mitchelson, and Mr. C. J. Tunks, representing the Standing Committee of the diocese. The consecration ceremony takes place at 10.30 to-morrow in St. Mary's Cathedral. The acting-Primate (the Bishop of Christchurch) will conduct the service, and will be assisted in the act of consecration by the Bishops of Waiapu and Nelson and Bishop Williams. The Bishop of Waiapu will be the preacher. The newly-consecrated Bishop will be enthroned to-morrow evening by the Commissary, and will preach his first sermon.
