POLLS ON WEDNESDAY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, April 24. Tremendous interest has been stimulated in the referenda, which are to be voted on on Wednesday. Both sides have spent large sums in advertising, and the city is posted with cartoons showing the probable and possible good and evil results. The country has been stumped energetically, with the usual amount of party wrangling. Peter Bowling addressed the Newcastle miners against the proposals, and was jeered at by his late ardent supporters.
