RECORD BANKING RETURNS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 25, 12,30 a.m. Sydney, April 24. New South Wales banking averages on the first quarter of the year were a record. The total deposits were £53,737,(187. an increase of £2,010,052. The proportion of coin and bullion to liabilities was 28.31 per cent., an increase of 2.34 per cent, compared with the same period last year. Casli holdings were £3.000,000 more a year ago, and the total deposits increased by £10,000,000 in three years, and £20,000,000 in seven years.
