SYDNEY WHEAT MARKET. By Cable—Press Ass<x:iation—Copyright Sydney, April 22. Owing to London advices that wheat is hardening shippers are offering 3s 4d. ENGLISH PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs E, Orifliths and Co. are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals, Messrs Mills and Sparrow, dated March 10: Since our last report, trade generally has been quiet. The weather is certainly more favorable, nights and mornings being frosty. Danish: As the butters were not clearing, the quotation has been reduced 2 kroner, and a better demand is anticipated. Siberian: Newly-made butters are making fairly high prices, the quality being • very fine. Australian: Imports continue on a liberal scale, and are not clearing, as so many factories arc of a secondary character. On the other hand, finest qualities, which are comparatively scarce', meet with a good demand at- top market price. New Zealand: The Rotorua's butter has sold very well, and best qualities are practically cleared, the few lots that are unsold being mostly of indifferent-flavor. The lonic is due to dock to-morrow, and her butters should be on- the market early next week. . ' CHEESE. Canadian: With more demand, prices have advanced Is to 2s per cwt. ' New Zealand: We are pleased to report that quality is giving .satisfaction all round, and this no doubt accounts for the improved demand which has taken place during the last few weeks. Prices show an improvement over last week, but we do not think the highest point has yet been reached. FROZEN PORK. Trade is short and slow. Market was far from clear at the close. New Zealand and Australian, 5d to o'/^d.
