WRECK OF THE LUSITANIA
WOMEN AND CHILDREN NEXT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Capetown, April 20. The Lusitania ran on the rocks on a moonlight night. She crippled her bow, but was otherwise uninjured. All hands were in confusion, but .there was no panic, 250 natives behaving admirably. Some Europeans rushed the boats before the women and children were comfortably stowed. The women were scantily clad, some only in blankets and socks. They were landed in a famished condition. Fog made the rescue difficult. Three persons were drowned. The Lusitania sank.
