I Sydney Stakes.—Jacamar 1, Borrosovl 2, Ladies' Man 3. Eight starters. Ladies' Man carried a bunched field well into the straight, where Jacamar and Borrosov came with a rush. A good finish. Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 30sec. Cumberland Stakes.—Trafalgar 1, Byplay 2, Cornedv King 3. Also started: Bibbonluke ami Morula. Bibbenluke led round the bend, with Comedy King and Trafalgar close. At the mile Comcilv King and Trafalgar were two lengths in front of Moorilla and Byplay, with Bibbenluke beat, it off. Before reaching the seven furlongs Trafalgar went to the front, and five furlongs from home led Comedy King by a length, with Byplay handy. Comedy King led into the straight from Byplay, but Trafalgar again got on terms at the distance, and coming away, won bv a length and a quarter, ten lengths between second and third horses.
