r TO ENTOURAGE YACHTING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckiand. La<t Xigiit. With a view to reviving interest in class yacht racing, His Excellency the Governor, Lord Islington, has intimated to the Commodore of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, Mr. Bloomfield, his intention to present a challenge i trophy to the squadron for competition under the rules for the time being in force. The trophy will be devoted to one of the metre classes which have been adopted for special encouragement by the Squadron, and the class will be decided on by the committee as early as convenient.
