SOME CENSUS FIGURES. By Teleerapli,~Pre» Association. Dunedin, Last Night. Mr. Maxwell, chief enumerator, has completed the unchecked summary of the census returns. The results are as follows: City of Dunedin, 36,269; including North-East Valley (5232) the total is 41,501; St. Kilda, 4124; West Harbor, 1649; Maori Hill, 2217; Roslyn, 5733; Mornington, 4675; total population, 59,899. The total in 1906 was 56,020, showing an increase of 3879. The detailed increases are: City of Dunedin, 199; North-East Valley, 854; St. Kilda, 1545* West Hftrbor, 134; Maori Hill, 331; Roslyn, 295; Mornington, 521. The Green Island borough total is 1867, as against 703 in 1906, an increase of 1164. The boundaries have been altered. Mosgiel borough has a total of 1595, an increase of 78.
