PETROLEUM NEWS
On their return to work at No. 5 bore yesterday morning the workmen found that there was about a foot of mud on the floor, showing that there had evidently boon considerable activity in the bore since operations had been stopped on Thursday evening. Considerable silt and mud had also accumulated in the bore itself. Between (1 p.m. on Thursday and yes(erdav morning 40 barrels of oil had flowed from between the casings at No. 3 bore. Drilling operations were resumed yesterday morning in good country. The public is evidently regaining confidence in the oil, as transfers of shares have been put through at par (£1). Buy preference snares at once. The;\ are a perfectly safe and very promising investment, and one that may be recommended with confidence. Send to Walter Bewlev, New Plvmouth.—Advt.
