THE AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The fourth days' play in the Australasian draughts championship and handicap tournament took place to-day. Penman defeated Boreham, and Lucas and Brodie, ex-New Zealand champions,! played six drawn games. Erickson and Camphell drop out of the contest. Brodie, Lucas, Penman and Hilliker remain in in the winners' class, and Boreham, Egan, and Morris in the losers' class. The following shows the positions of the competitors:— Second round: Brodie and Lucas, six draws each; Penman, two wins, one draw; Boreham, one draw, one win; Hilliker, a bye. In the losers' clnss, first round: Erickson, one win, three draws; Camphell, one win, three draws; H.. Morris, two wins, three draws; Egan, two wins, three draws. In the handicap tournament some have played 18 games out of 22 required. J. Lain'g is leading with 11'/, points, followed by J. Bruce 10, A. Matheson 9y», and R. Botting 9.
