THE CHURCH OF CHRIST. By Telegraph.—Pr«si Association. Wanganui, Last Night. At the Church of Christ Conference the executive officers for the ensuing were elected as follows: President, Mr. R. Davies; vice-president, Mr. R, A. Wright, M.P.; treasurer, Mr, D. Campbell; secretary, Mr. R. Hill; committee, Messrs S." H. Mudge, A. V. Williams, G. Day, J. Hunter. A' special resolution was carried, expressing gratitude for the growth of of public opinion in favor of no-license aud increased voting power. NO-LICENSE CONVENTION. Palmerston N., Last Night. A big no-license convention was held hero to-day, delegates being present' from all parts of the North Island. At the meeting during the day a resolution carried recommending to the New Zealand Alliance at its annual meeting to advise voters to withhold their votee from camlidiates who support the iniquitous and intolerable three-fifths majority. A big public meeting was held in the evening. THE SOCIALIST PARTY. : Dnnedin, Last Nigfitf. The New Zealand Socialist party held its fourth annual conference to-day, delegates being present from different parts of New Zealand, Mr. J. W. Munro (Dnnedin) presiding. The conference drew up and adopted a platform on the linos of that of the Now Zealand Federation of Labor. It was decided to merge the Socialist paper, the "Commonweal," with the "Mnoriland Worker," A resolution was passed advocating the teachin? of the principles of peace in State schools.
