If Canada waited the Democrats would give her all the tariff concessions she was likely to gain under reciprocity. Washington, April 14. The Democrats favor the revision of the agricultural tariffs wholesale, following the passage of a Bill placing on the free list commodities benefiting farmers. PASSAGE OF THE BILL CERTAIN. Received 10, 5.5 p.m. New York, April 15. The House of Representatives is discussing the Reciprocity Bill. Strong opposition to it is developing, but the passage of the Bill through the House is assured. DEMOCRATS STRONGLY SUPPORTING. Washington, April 16. The debate on the reciprocity treaty has commenced. The Democrats are strongly supporting the measure, urging that it is merely the first step towards the revision of tariffs to which tlie party is already pledged.
