' ALLEGED MISCONDUCT. . By Telegraph.—Presa Association;' Wellington, April 11. The Appeal Court to-day heard a motion for a rule absolute'to strike John Francis Pullen, of Auckland, off the roll of solicitors for alleged professional misconduct. It was alleged that Pnllen wrote a letter to another solicitor containing a threat that criminal proceedings would he instituted by Pullen'* client unless a certain sum of money (£704) was refunded. The other solicitor, Mahoney, refused, and criminal proceedings were instituted, ending in Mahoney's complete vindication without the defence being called on. Mr Cotter appeared for the Auckland Law Society, and Mr Earle for Pullen.
