THE FRISCO SERVICE
THE AORANGI IN WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, April 11 The R.M.S. Aorangi arrived from San Francisco shortly after 6 o'clock this \ morning. She had a fair weather passage. There were a fair number of passengers, including W. W, Naughton, the American sporting writer and boxing authority, and Picato, the American boxer, both of whom are bound for Sydney. Included in the cargo were nearly 10,000 bags of harley, and a large quantity of hardwood and island fruit. Three stowaways were handed over to the Wellington police. On the voyage to San Francisco the Rev. R. d. Hacke, one of the several Mormon missionaries returning to Salt Lake City, died from natural causes. The San Francisco papers, referring to two breakdowns to the steamer's machinery on the voyage from New Zealand, say sthat the passengers give Captain Evan's and Chief Engineer Ward great credit for the manner in which they handled the situation. The vessel rolled helplessly in the tropical seas, but fortunately the weather was fine and the passengers not alarmed.
