RIFLE SHOOTING
TARANA&I GUARDS. The Taranaki &'fMr<h> will have a full day's shooting on the Rewa Rewa range on Good Friday for the Taunton Challenge Shield (at 200 yds, 500 yds, and 000 yds), a handicap competition. These scores will count for the company's champion belt, for which there will be' shooting also at the 700 yds, 800 yds,' 000 yds, aud 1000 yds ranges. Shooting will start at the 200 yds range at 8 a.m. The handicaps for the Taunton Challenge Shield are as follow:—Hartnell, Evans, Corp. Bruce, Johnson and Short scr., Nicholls 1, Boon, Beadle, Oliver and Manchard 2, Hill, Lobb and Sadler 4, Sole, Goodacre 5, Arnold (5, fl. Bruce 10, H. Arnold 10, Gunson 18, rest of company 20 points.
