The Education Board to-day carried a motion of which notice had been gives to the effect that, consistent with the Board's policy, and in view of the increased facilities for study, all positions' in the Board's service held by uncertificated teachers be advertised /or fresh* application on the Ist April, 1012, exemption being granted to (a) teachers who have now been more than two years in service; (b) teachers who have obtained a partial "D" pass since Jannary, 1909; (c) teachers who hold licenses to teacfc; (d) teachers who have spent two years in the Training College between January, 1909, and April, 1012; and teachers under grade "0." The Board furtner resolved that similar action be taken on the Ist of April in each succeeding year.
