ADDING TON. At Addington yards there was a big yarding of sheep of all descriptions, as well as cattle and pigs. Store sheep—The entry consisted principally of ewes, with a few wethers and lambs. Fair-conditioned 2-tooths realised 12s fid to 13s Od, good sorts 14s to 15s Gd, 2-tooth halfbreds (small) 12j5 3d, inferior 9s to lis 3d, culls 5s 9d. good sound-mouthed ewes lis S)d to 12s 9d, others 8s 9d to 10s 9d, 6 and 8-tooth (medium) to 10s Od, failing mouths Gs to 7s, aged and gummies 2s to 4s. Good lambs made 9s to 10s Gd, medium 8s to 8s 9d, halfbreds 7s to 7s !)d, mixed sorts •5s upwards. Forward wethers realised to 13s, 2-tooth halfbreds 9s Gd to 10s 3d. Fat lambs—There was a decidedly brisker tone on the whole market, and good lines of well-finished lambs met with a ready sale at a slight advance. There were 70SI yarded, and exporters took 51)14 at prices ranging from 10s to 15s. Butchers secured 388 at lis to 10s, and graziers took 288 at lis to 14s. Fat sheep—There was a full yarding. ■Prime wethers made las Gd to 17s Gd, extra to 19s, others lis Gd to 15s, unfinished 8s fid upwards, prime ewes 12s 3d to 15s Gd, extra to 17s 3d, medium Ss Gd to 12s, aged and light 0s 0d to Bs, merino wethers 9s 9d to 10s 3d.

Fat cattle —There 'was a yarding of 307, as compared with 259 at last week's sale. The yarding was of a better quality all round, and for the freer sorts there was a much improved demand, and a distinct appreciation in value. Steers realised £7 2s fid to £.13 2s fid, heifers £5 5s to £!) 2s Od, eows £5 to £9 15s, best steer beef made 25s to 29s Od, medium 22s to 23s Gd, inferior and cow beef 20s to 21s fld.

There was an average entry of fat calves, and the prices ranged from 4s Gd to £4 10s. Store cattle—There was a small and indifferent yarding. Fifteen to cighteenmonths sorts made £1 13s to £2 9s, ■2-vcar steers £3 ss, dry cows £1 10s to £4 9s Gd. There was a poor yarding of dairycows, and prices ranged from £3 10s to £9 15s. Pigs—Fat pigs were in good supply, though the yarding was smaller than that of several recent markets. Good sorts were in fair average demand, but unfinished kinds were neglected. Choppers made to 70s, heavy baconers 49s to 50s, lighter sorts 35s to 48s (being equal to 4d per lb); best porkers made 27s to 325, lighter 22s to 20s fid (equal to 4%d pr lb). There was a medium entry of store pigs, and the demand was very poor. Large stores realised 12s to 13s, smaller 7s to lis; sows, with litters ranging from five to seven, met with a poor reception, prices only touching 255. Weaners were neglected, prices running from Is Od to 5s Gd.

BURXSTDE. At Burnside 143 fat cattle wore yarded. The attendance of buyers was iip to the usual, and prices were on a par with last week's rates. Best bullocks £lO Ms to £ll 10s, medium .€!) to ,£!) 10s, inferior £7 10s to £B, best cows and heifers £0 10s to £7 10s, medium £5 Ms to £fi. Sheep—24ol yarded, a moderate yarding, made up chiefly of ewes, with' a proportion of prime wethers, which obtained slightly higher prices than last week. Ewe.s met with better sale, and best pens sold readily at an advance of about Is on last week's rates. Best wethers 17s fill to 18s Gd, medium l'iis to Ms, inferior I:2s to 14s, best ewes 13s to 15s, medium 10s to lis (id, inferior fis to 7s. Lambs—3373 yarded, n full yarding. The quality generally was better than that offering at recent sales. Prices were firm at last week's rates. Best 13s to H> lid. medium lis to 12s Od. inferior 8s (id to 10s. MASTERTOX. Messrs Dalsretv and Co., Ltd.. report a fair yarding of sheep and a fairly good sale.at late rates. The cattle entry eomorised mostly fnt and forward cows, for which pood prices were realised. WAXOAXUL Messrs Dnlgety and Co., Ltd., report:— At our Wangaimi sale we yarded 31-lfi sheep and 340 cattle, and we have to report a dragging sale. A large proportion of the sheep consisted of linos of lambs for which there was practically no demand, and the bulk of them wont out unsold.
