Mart—On Saturday wc had a good entry of poultry, prices being as follows: — Diicks Is 5d to 2s Id, drakes Is 5d to 3s Id, bantams Os, hens (good and young) Is 7d to Is Hd, old Is Id to Is 3d,'pullets (good) 2s to 2s od, young lOd to Is Od, turkey gobblers as 4d, hens 3s Od, Pekin ducks 4s Od pair. Furniture—'Since our last report we have held clearing sales on account of Mr. A. D. Gray, Mr. G. 11. Lynch, Mrs. Dixon, and Mr. J. W. Reid (Oakura), at which satisfactory prices were obtained. Fruit—Supplies of apples and pears are coming in freely and selling well. Fiji bananas arrived in excellent condition to a good market. Prices were: Grapes, ad to 9d; tomatoes 2s Od to 3s 6d; pears, Winter Coles fls to Os Od halfcases; K.H. pears 8s (Id case; cooking apples 'os to 5s Od; Duchessc pears 4s box, peaches ss" (id box, Jonathan apples 0s Od to 7s Od, cape gooseberries 5s 9(1 to 0s Od, russet apples 4s, lemons 7s, passions Is 6d to 2s Od, oranges lis Od. LOCAL MARKETS. Butchers' Meat. Beef: Sirloin, Od; prime ribs, sd; rump steak, Od; beef, from 3d to 4d; corned beef, from 4d to od per lb. Mutton: Legs, 6d; chops, Od; loin, Od; shoulders, Cd per lb. Veal, 3d to 5d per lb. Sausages: Beef 4d, pork Bd. Lamb: Legs, 6d; forequarteis, ss. Fowls, 5s to Gs per pair; ducks, Os per pair.
