At the Wiltshire Yeomanry dinner Sir John Fuller —Governor-elect of Xew .South Wales —responding to the toast of his health, said that he would carry to Australia a recollection of the efficiency of the voluntary system in England. If Australia attained the same efficiency under the compulsory system, then the Imperial spirit would carry the Empire undefeated for all time.
