A strong protest has been made by the Opposition in the Dominion Parliament against the immigration of negroes to the prairie provinces. Mr. Oliver, Minister of the Interior, replied that the influx of negroes was not anticipated when the immigration regulations were made, and the Government was now unable to prevent the negroes entering.
