UNPRECEDENTED FIGURES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 2, 5.5 p.m. London, April 2. The Budget shows the year's revenue to have been £203,850,588, whereof the Customs contributed £33,140,000, excise £40,020,090, stamps £9,778,400, and the property and income tax £61,946,000. The revenue for the previous year, 1909-10, amounted to only £131.096,450. The estimate was £102,590,001), the deficit being caused by the non-collection of a portion of the revenue of the year owing to the delay in passing the Finance Act for 1909-10. In il9oß-9 the receipts were £ 153,*80,000. In 1900-1 they were £137,151,000. THE NET SURPLUS. London, March 31. The Chancellor of the Exchequer's net surplus is £5,'606,766. The Budget provides for payment of members of the House of Commons at the rate of £4OO per annufri.
