Cairns reports that the rivers and creeks are in high flood and still rising. The railway is inundated, whilst there are several wa.shaways and bridges damaged. At Kuranda 42 inches of rain were recorded in 48 hours, the total rainfall for the three months being eight feet five inches. Much damage has been done to the cro^s.
