THE CADET CONTINGENT. Sydney, March 28. : The cadet contingent, which is going to the coronation, has been increased to 120. PRISON REFORM. Brisbane, March 28. The Government is considering a scheme of prison reform, including rewards for good conduct and supplying reading matter. ALLEGED YOUTHFUL ROBBER. Melbourne, March 28. A youth named Stott has teen committed for trial on a charge of having robbed the Footscray railway booking office. The proceeds of the robbery, amounting to £7, were spent at the races and theatre, and on lollies. He waa remanded on a charge of the attempted sticking-up of the Elizabeth street post office, where a man presented a; revolver at the woman iu charge, but fled when he noticed another woman in the telephone compartment.
