MATCHES IN THE CENTRES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. Central A beat East A by 103 runs. East B beat Central B by seven wicket*. North beat South by nine wickets. Hutt beat College by an innings and 57 runs. Auckland, March 26. • Two-point wins wt-re registered by North Shore, Parncll, and University. The North Shore Club has won the senior grade championship, Christchurch, March 25. St. Albans and Sydenham, having tied for the championship, met to-day at Lancaster Park to play off. There was considerable interest in the match, and there was; a large attendanc;, The weather was fine and the wicket in capital order. St. Albans won the toss and, when stamps were drawn for the day, had made 202 for eight wickets. To this total K. M. Ollivier contributed 7fi, E. Spicer (not out) 53, E. E. Crawshaw 39, and Sandman 22. Dtinedin, March 25. The final games of the cricket season were played this afternoon. Results:— Opoho made 84 and 258 (Callaway 78), I against Bunedin. who replied with 2731 in their first inning and thus secured a two-point win. Albion made 120 and 86 against Carisbrook B, who put together Ibl (Austin 108). Tlw laHei secured a four-point win. Grange made 363 against Carisbrook, who have lost eight wickets for 310 runs. The match was unfinished. Opoho is the champion team for the season. It has been decided to play the match deciding the Saturday championship, Law v. United Service, on Snturday next on the Park ground.
