CLOSER TRADE RELATIONS WITH AMERICA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Launceston, March 27. A motion was submitted to the Chamber of Manufacturers' Conference in favor of closer trade relations between America and Australia. Several members were of opinion that the motion was trenching on the realm of international politics, with which manufacturers had no concern, and the motion was withdrawn.
