LIVERPOOL GRAND NATIONAL. Received 26, 5.5 p.m. London, March 25.. The Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase resulted:—Glenside 1, Rathanally 2, Shady Girl 3. [The presence of Mr G. P. Donnelly's horse Gold Seal II amongst the acceptors for this year's Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase gives the race an interest to New Zealanders. It is just seven years since the Hawkc's Bay jumper, Moifoa, led twenty-five others home in the big steeplechase, but very little chance was given Gold Seal II ot repeating that slashing performance. His recent running in England has been most disappointing, but it is certain that Tom Coulthwaite, England's premier 'chasertrainer, would work a great improvement on the jumper before the big steeplechase. Others included in this year's National were Rubia, Lutteur 111 and Jenkinstown—all previous winners. —'"Moturoa."]
