MR MASSEY'S CAMPAIGN
EXPERIMENTAL FARMS CRITICISED. By Telegraph— Press Association. Cliristchurch, Last Night. Mr. Massey addressed a meeting at Hawarden on Friday night on similar lines to his speech at Kuiapoi, and wu accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Last night he addressed a largely attended meeting at Amberley. Referring to the Department of Agriculture, lie said the results from the experimental farms were so far incommensurate with the expenditure thereon, and less than farmers had a right to expect. In view of such expenditure, other countries, whose products com-' peted with New Zealand's, received much more information regarding modern methods in agriculture, and it wa# time the New Zealand farmer was brought up-to-date in this respect. He was recorded an unanimous vote or thanks.
He speaks at Rangiora to-morrow night.
