AUCKLAND'S TRIBUTE. (Special to News.) Auckland, Last Night. There was a pretty scene at the finai performance of Mr. Hugh Ward's Company on Saturday night. The audience strewed the stage with flowers, cheering Mr. Ward and Miss Palotta, ana insisted on speeches. Mr. Ward, who is joining Mr. J. C. Williamson's firm, expressed regret at. leaving New Zealand. The public, he said, would miss Miss Grace Palotta, who, at the end of her present engagement, will go to Vienna. Miss Palotta responded to the demonstration in « neat speech. The company left for New Plymouth to-day, and the two leaders wore farcwclled by a large number of friends.
