FIGHTING IN MEXICO
THE UNITED STATES MAY INTERVENE. INSURGENT LEADER'S DECREE. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright. Received 25, 12.20 a.m. New York, March 24. A report from Santiago states that the United States intend to intervene in Mexico in May unless the insurrection is crushed by then. Six thousand additional men are preparing to join the American forces. The leader of the revolutionary junta declare that the insurgents' policy is to capture and hold Chihuhua State. If the United States intervenes the insurgents will fight the invaders. A report has been received at Washington that Madcro, the insurgent leader, has issued decrees holding President Diaz personally responsible for homicide if insurrectionists are shot under suspicion. He guarantees personal safety to all State officials. Those aiding President Diaz, however, will be held to be responsible as accessories to homicide. THREE AMERICANS SHOT. Mexico, March 23. Three Americans were shot at Gehanna, after a Mexican court-martial.
