Serious rioting ha,s taken place at the Cambrian combine's colliery at Clydachvale. A mass meeting of miners condemned the executive for arranging a ballot upon the masters' terms, because the British Miners' Federation threatened to stop strike pay. The strikers, including women, marched to the mine, took possession of the hill, and rolled boulders into the colliery. They also tried to set fire to some ricks. The police made several charges, armed with batons, but were repulsed by stones. Finally a flank attack dislodged the rioters, who fled to Tonypandy. Many of the rioters were injured, and two of the police seriouf'y.
