A deputation from various churches, headed by the Arclibishop of Canterbury, presented King George with an address and Bible on the occasion of the tercentenary,of the authorised version. Kin" George, replying, expressed pleasure at the celebration, saying that the labors of the translators deserved lastin" honor. For three centuries multiplying millions of English speaking people turned, when in need, to the authorised version, and he hoped his subjects would increase and cherish their noble inheritance.
