Sir William Vanhorne, president of the Canadian-Pacific Railway Company, who is visiting London, emphatically condemns the Canadian-American reciprocity agreement, and declares that four-fifths
of the population of the Dominion are opposed to it. Nevertheless, it will be passed into law, because the party machine will push it through. He Is unable to understand the action of the British Minister at Washington in aiding and abetting the agreement.
