THE QUEENSLAND CYCLONE. I By Oable.—Press AaHociafem.—o«pyri«|rt. Brisbane. March 20. Two men were killed by falling houses at Port Douglas in the cyclone. One was assisting his mother, who escaped. The wrecked buildings include the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches, Government bond, and three police halls. A PLAGUE OF GRASSHOPPERS. Brisbane, March 20. Gundagai is besieged with a plague of grasshoppers. They are so thick in places that it is impossible to drive vehicles. They are eating everything green. I THE AUSTRALIAN DESTROYERS. Melbourne, March 20. Tho Government is communicating with the Admiralty architects in reference to the defects in the destroyers' steering gear. New steering engines will bo obtained from England. THE NORTHERN TERRITORY. Melbourne, March 20. The Federal Government has decided to alter the name of Palmerston to Darwin.
