In the doubles Parker and Fisher beat Addison and Barnard (Victoria), 2 —o, o—2, 4—6, B—o, o—2. In the mixed doubles Fisher and Miss Stewart beat Rice and Miss Watson, o—2, o—6,0 —6, 11—0. DEFEAT OF FISHER. Adelaide, March 18. In the State lawn tennis championships Taylor (Adelaide) beat Fisher (New Zealand), o—s, o—4, 6—o. The iinal lies between Parker (New South Wales) and Taylor. NEW PLYMOUTH v. WAVERLEY. A team of eight men and Ave ladies from the New Plymouth Club journeyed to Waverley and suffered defeat at the hands of the Waverley Club by 11 matches to 8.
