AN ANTI-IMPERIALIST

GOVERNOR-GEXERAL ATTACKED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received, 19, 5.5 p.m. Ottawa, March 18. Mr. Ewart, a noted Ottawa lawyer, has attacked the Governor-General's activity on behalf of the Overseas Club, describing Earl Grey as a perfervid Imperialist, whose dearest wish is to unite Canada politically and for war purposes with the Motherland. He adds: The Imperialist h the chief obstacle in the way of the Canadian nationalist. The Overseas Club was formed and is fostered by the London Daily Mail amongst its readers of the overseas edition of that paper and others, for fostering a spirit of Imperial unity.
