THE FEDERAL REFERENDA
MINISTERS BREAK THE SILENCE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, March 18. Mr. Griffiths, Minister of Public Works, has broken the silence he has maintained regarding the referenda. He declared that he was in favor of ultimate unification. Referring to the rumored split of the Labor Party over the referenda, he said there was no split. Messrs. Brisbane, March 18. The Premier, in a speech, declared that those running the referenda were the most intolerant people in the world, and were asking them to destroy the. Federal constitution, which would topple over their head? or give place to unification.
