.MISS AMY CASTLKS.-TO-NIGIIT. Miss Amy fastles, Australia's famous J "Q,'icen of Song," makes her tirst appearance in New Plymouth on her farewell tour of New Zealand prior to her gaged to appear in errand opera. This evening Messrs J. and N. Tail will introduce Miss Castles in the realm in which she has won great fame, both in Knglaiid and on the 'Continent, whilst, in Australia her concert tour, interrupted as it was by her advent into grand opera, was one long recurrence of sensational triumphs of merit, which places her in the front rank of the many great singers who have visited Australia. Miss Castles will sing this evening Verdi's "A Fors e lui." from "La Traviata," Tosti's "Cood-bye." arid Verdi's ''Sapor Vorreste," and by special request -he will sing "One Fine Day" irom ''Madame Hutterlly.'' 11l addition, by rec|iiest Miss Castles will sing Jiraga's "Sorlniata," with Velio ohligalo by Mr, Lo.uis llattenbaeh, and "Home, Sweet Home." .Messrs J. and N. Tait introduce a splendid company in support of Miss Castles, Herr Alexander t'limphausen, the Ixnp/.ig baritone, from the grand opera of Jicrlin and Dresden, will render, by request, "The Prologue from Pagliacci" and the Toreador sung from "Carmen.' Herr llattenbaeh, the,famous 'cellist, in addition to the obligalo accompaniments to Miss Castles, will ploy Popper's "llhapsoilie llongroise" and tne dainty solos in "Melodic" and "Souvenir." Mr. William Conway, who, with the other artists, makes his first, appearance, will render JSeethoven's Sonata in Co sharp .Minor, Op. 2, No. ■>, and Chopin's popular composition, "liallade in A Flat." A largo booking has been received at Collier's, where :',s tickets are also available. The programme includes quite a of popular numbers wlucli -Miss Castles will sing by special request.
