A DESERTER RECOGNISED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The captain of the s.s; Kumara to-day recognised on board the s.s. Egerton Grange a man who had deserted from the Kumara in Sydney. The mian was given into custody after inquiry as to whether such action was legal.
