A SUPREME COURT CASE. j By Telegraph.—Press Association, (iisborne, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day the cane of Wm. Knox Chambers, of Gisborne, sheep-farmer, on behalf of himself and all other shareholders in the East Coast Petroleum Company, Ltd:, v. Wm. Lissant Clayton, of Gisborne, land agent,' and Geo. Hutchison, of Wanganui, barrister, and the East Coast Petroleum Company, was taKen. The plaintiff asked for a declaration that Clayton holds '50,000 shares in the Now Zealand Oilfields Company, and that he be declared a trustee for the plaintiff company of the said shares. .Mr. Morrison, with Mr. J. W. Nolan, appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. Lusk for Clayton, Hutchison in person, and Mr. Blair for the company. Evidence was given by the plaintiff and Hutchison, and the case was adjourned till to-morrow.
