CORONATION EXHIBITION.

A MID-WINTER ATTRACTION

London ia not going to ]wve it all its own way with its merry - making at Coronation time. Wellington is arranging to celebrate, the occasion by the holding of an exhibition, which is'-to he the biggest thing of its kind held in the Dominion since the Xcw Zealand Exhibition. Up to the present, Wellington •folk have not the faintest conception of the size and importance of the Coronation Exhibition, which is being siowly but surely brought into being bv the Wellington Industrial Association. "First of all the organising authority has been particularly fortunate in securing almost ideal premises from the Wellington Harbour Hoard, which has olVcud the use of " I'" Shed on Waterloo Quay, and the new three-storey M" Shed, now in the last stages of completion. These are not sheds in the ordinary acceptation of the word—they are great, solidily-construc-ted buildings, with concrete Hours, and. strong enough to take any exhibit likely to be ofVered. The location must be 1 regarded as favorable. The exhibition Till be wiihiri a minute's walk of the tramway stopping-place, opposite Levin and Co. s warehouse, the Rail way Station is three minutes' walk, anil the ferry whiirves are immediately adjacent to the premises. TSy the time the Exhibition eventuates in May, it is hoped that the tramway extension from Willis-street to Customhouse Quay and Waterloo Quay will have been completed, so that aii visitors will lie adequately served. This will merely mean the linking up of the lines betveen Stewart Dawson's corner and the General Post Office, a work already approved. At the exhibition terminus the Waterloo Quay is to be brilliantly lighted, and no one need be deterred from leaving the building on the score that they aqe afraid to go home in the dark.
