OUR DEFENCE FORCES
MILITARY CADETSHIPS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Of the twelve candidates who presented themselves for examination for cadetships at the Australian Military College, the following seven are the successful candidates: W. J. K. Jennings (Canterbury), R. Miles (Canterbury), V. G. Jervis (Otago), C. Carrington (Canterbury), W. N. M. Weir (Wellington), D. R. Carpenter (Auckland), E. Oliver (Canterbury). These have still to pass a final medical examination and to be approved by the General Officer commanding the New Zealand Defence Forces. The remaining five who presented themselves did not attain tho necessary qualifying standard.
