By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. Following is the High Commissioner's cabled market report, under date London, March 11. (Note.—All quotations unless otherwise specified are average market prices on spot): Mutton.—The market is weak, and stocks are accumulating. Canterbury 3%<1, North Island 3%d, Australian 2%d, River Plate 3d. Lamb.—The market is dull, with a downward tendency. Canterbury 5V4d, other than Canterbury 4%d, Australian 3%4. Beef.—The market is firm. New Zcalahd hinds 3%d, fores 3y B d. ! Pork, 5V4d. Butter. —The market is quiet, with a tendency in favor of buyers. Choicest New Zealand to-day is IOGs, Australian 102s, Danish 108s 6d. Cheese.—The market is firm, with a hardening tendency; white 58s Gd, colored 595. Hemp.—The market is steady, but there is not much demand, though prices are firm. New Zealand good fair on spot £2O, fair grade £l9 ss, fair current Manila £l9 10s. Forward shipment New Zealand good fair £2O 7s 6d, fair grade £l9 10s, fair current Manila £2O. The output of Manila for the week was 3!,000 bales. The stock of New Zealand 'hemp is 458 tons. Cocksfoot Seed.—There is better demand, and stocks on hand are light. Bright clean New Zealand seed (weighing 171b per bushel) 755. Wheat.—The market is quiet, and small business doing. New Zealand long-berried ex granary, per quarter of 4961b., 335; short-berried, 325. Oats.—New Zealand oats, short sparrowbills, ex granary, per quarter of 3841b, 19s Cd; Danish, per quarter of 3201b, 17s. The market is firm, with more inquiry. Beans.—The market is dull and very little; business doing. New Zealand f.a.q. (old crop), per 5041b, 355. Psas,—The market is quiet, with a tendency in favor of buyers. New Zealand partridge per 5041b. 445. Wool.—The market remains firm. Mutton ftiid Lamb Shipments —The River Plate mutton and lamb received during-February, 1911, were as follow: London, mutton 75,55(5 carcases, lamb 15,978 carcases; Liverpool, 174,831 and 30,010; Hull, 14,417 and 2140; Cardiff. 12.336 and 1400; Southampton, 9738 and 418 SI; Newcastle, 7995 and 1000: totals: mutton 294,873 carcases, lamb 54,747 carcases. February, 1910: Mutton 239,931 carcases, lamb 18.222 carcases. Increase for February. 1911: Mutton 54,942 carcases, lamb 46,525 carcases.
