THE HUNGARIAN TWINS
A PECULIAR PROCEEDING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyriyht. Berlin, March 11. One of the twin sisters Blazek, natives of Bohemia, who are physically joined together in the same manner as the Siamese twins, is accused of disregarding a judgment concerning a breach of contract. The twins were arrested and conveyed to prison. The manager of a music-hnll at which tliey were appearing paid the sum, and demanded and obtained their release, but damages are claimed for the illegal arrest of the innocent sister. The question whether the twin sisters should pay one or two railway fares was raised at King's Cross O.N. railway station on January 14, when t-hey arrived from Edinburgh. They produced only one ticket. Such a case had never been heard of before, and after much perplexity the railways officials satisfied themselves with taking the name and address of Mr. Tke S. Rose, of Berlin, who was accompanying the twins on their travels, and who explained that he had never taken more than one ticket for them, and had never been asked for a second fare. The object of the sisters' visit to London was to undergo an examination by surgeons and doctors of the General Medical Council. One has a twelve months old baby, which she was carrying in her arms on her arrival at King's Cross. They are thirty-one years of age, and come from Bohemia.
