BIOGRAPH PICTURES. The weekly change of programme at the Theatre Royal on Saturday evening again attracted a good audience, who were unanimous in their praise of the flimsysubmitted,) which were the best that have a* yet been put forward by the enterprising management. As usual, the bill of fare presented is a varied one, comprising scenic, dramatic, comic and topical pictures. The selection of subjects is particularly happy, and their portrayal is simply marvellous, showing the heights to which both the arts of photography and of cinematography have attained. Every item is tertaining, and the audience is held right, "* from the start until the final "good night" Is thrown on the screen. The dramatic views are particularly good, not overdone, and of a nature that cannot fail to appeal to the sympathies of the audience. The scenic views comprise sports in the Indian Army, a bcautful colored view showing'troops engaged in various drills and physical exercise*. "Rock Climbing" "A Trip on the Volga." and "Tunny Fishing" are others in this class. The comic element fs very good, "How Hubbv got a Rise," being rather neat. "Wilful Peggy," "Wooing a Widow," and "The Mule driver and the garrulous mule" complete the scries. The topical film is most entertaining, containing as it does views of a week's principal happenings throughout the world. The programme will be repeated to-morrow night.
