FIRES.
MOTOR GARAGE BURNED. By Telegraph.—Preas Association. Auckland, Saturday. A fire at 11 o'clock last night gutted premises in Quay street occupied by J. Tipper, the City Motor Garage, and Leo Walsh, engineer. The building was owned by Lichtenstein and Arnoldson, and insured in the South British for £3OOO. The whole of the stock in both places was damaged by fire and water. The insurances on Tipper's stock was £1025 in the Royal, and he estimates his loss over that amount.
