a^Oisi Sutton's Giant Evergreen Italian Ryegrass COPIES OF SOME CORRESPONDENCE. (Extract from New Zealand Times.) ANOTHER APPRECIATION. 1 ? I '\ A h : the other Canterbury authority who judged the fat sheep at I-eliding is also an enthusiastic admirer of Mr. Lowric. Speaking of the good work the late Principal of Lincoln College did for the fanners of Canterbury, Mr Joseph, mentioned, among ot her things, the demonstration of Mr. Uwne of the remarkable value of Sutton's Devon Eaver Italian ryegrass. Mr. Lowrie had great faith in this grass, and he showed good reason for it by running fifteen ewes and their lambs on a field of it. The field at Lincoln was laid down to Devon Laver in March. In May the cows were put on it. Then four ewes to thei acre were lambed down. The grass got away so quickly, however that he fifteen ewe* and lambs referred to were turned in, but even this great stocking faded to keep down the luxuriant feed. Devon Eaver is a remarkable rye, declares Mr. Joseph; its growth is phenomenal. Where the E. GRIFFITHS AND CO. NEW PLYMOUTH. SOLE AGENTS FOR SUTTON'S SEEDS.
