MR. MALCOLM'S CAMPAIGN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston X., Last Night. | Mr. A. S. Malcolm, M.P., addressed a good meeting on Imperial Federation, the mayor presiding. Mr. Malcolm dwelt especially on inter-Imperial trade, defence, race purity, home rule, and the difficulties that other nations had met with in carrying federation. He kept the attention of the audience throughout, and closed with an appeal to patriotic sentiment. Mr. R. McXab moved affirming the necessity for the closest union of the Empire, and congratulated Mr. Malcolm on liia campaign. TTe spoke of some of the dangers to be avoided. The motion was carried unanimously. Mr. Bniek, M.P., in moving a vote of thanks, also supported Mr Malcolm's ideals.
